At the beggining of the year we joined “Neighbourly” a platform allowing businesses to support charities and non-profit organisations.
Businesses can make a positive impact by donating volunteer time, money and surplus products to good causes through Neighbourly.
By joining “Neighbourly” we established a food share scheme with Aldi Littlemoor and became a part of their “Everyday Amazing” campaign.
Aldi Littlemoor donate to us their surplus food 6 days a week.
Some of the food is available on tables at The Link for people who need it. The bulk of the food is used to make emergency food parcels for people experiencing food poverty and have been assesed to be in need.
We also share with food with our community partners: ST Anne’s Community Services, Woodthorpe Community Shop, Trussell Trust Food Bank at Southern Light Community Church who all support people living with food poverty.
