December was a wonderfully busy month here at The Link — full of smiles, celebrations and festive cheer.
We started the season with a festive trip to Leeds Christmas Market, followed by a special Christmas-themed coffee morning at Wentworth Garden Centre where our friends enjoyed time together surrounded by twinkly lights and decorations.
One of the highlights of the month was welcoming pupils from Stradbroke Primary School to visit Santa in our very own Link Grotto. There were lots of smiles, Christmas songs and plenty of festive excitement!
We were also incredibly grateful to co-host the Christmas Community Lunch at Outwood Academy City. Thanks to their generosity, we were able to take 60 of our Link friends along to enjoy a wonderful afternoon together.
A huge thank you goes to our amazing community partners — Morrisons Catcliffe, Co-op Woodhouse and Mosborough, and The Salvation Army — for their incredibly kind donations of toys. These gifts helped families who may have found purchasing presents difficult this year, and we are so lucky to have such supportive partners working alongside us.
And of course… Santa returned once again — this time joined by Mrs Claus — for our Link Christmas Grotto! We were thrilled to welcome around 70 children to visit, each leaving with a gift and a sprinkle of Christmas magic.🎅✨
What a truly fantastic December — full of kindness, connection and community spirit. Thank you to everyone who supported, volunteered, joined in and helped make it so special.
